The new edition of Turbo Sliders features drafting and simulated tire wear. Our first race is our annual SCARTS Shootout and Daytona 500 qualifying event on Sunday, March 23rd (22:30 GMT). Even though the Daytona 500 is on March 30th, qualifying is done prior to Sunday's Shootout so set the lineup for the Shootout and pitstalls selections. The winner of the pole position is able to start both the Shootout and the Daytona 500 from first place. Pitstalls selected for the SCARTS Shootout will carry over into the Daytona 500 for everybody, so showing up can make a huge difference in your chances for success in the Daytona 500!
After qualifying, the SCARTS Shootout will run, lasting 75 laps (two segments of 25 laps and 50 laps). A competition yellow will fly after lap 25 which will feature a mandatory yellow flag pitstop for 'at least' a splash of fuel. You have the option on taking tires. More on that later. The finishing order from the SCARTS Shootout will set the starting lineup for the Daytona 500, behind the polesitter. If the polesitter wins the Shootout, 2nd place from the Shootout will start on the front row. If the polesitter doesn't win the Shootout, the Shootout victor will start on the front row with the pole winner.
This is a great race to learn the new drafting and tire wear system to build yourself a notebook for the Daytona 500!
Downloads will be coming this week!
