I caution everyone before watching this video. A huge crash erupted at the finish of the Drive4COPD 300 @ Daytona for the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Regan Smith tried blocking Brad Keselowski coming to the checkered flag but got spun out into the pack, HEAVILY wrecking several cars. One car, the #32 of Kyle Larson went flipping in the air into the catchfencing (much like Carl Edwards in 2009), scattering debris from the front end of his racecar into the grandstands, hurting fans.
UPDATE
At least 28 fans got injuries - 14 were treated on-site for minor injuries and 14 were brought to Halifax Medical Center and other neighboring hospitals. One adult and one 14-year old are listed as being in 'critical condition'.
Thoughts and prayers go out to all race fans hurt by this tragedy.
