The leader Mark Martin got caught in a stackup of cars trying to miss Bobby Labonte spinning out exiting Turn 4. The crash also involved Kasey Kahne, hooking Martin, sending him into pitlane hard into the side of a pitwall barrier, ironically next to the #5s pitstall. The wall spearheads the left rear quarterpanel of Mark's car, scarily close to the cockpit area. Mark gets out ok. This crash looked to be triggered by Juan Montoya loosening the 47 of Labonte, but there was no contact.

losing out on a certain victory ruined the race for me
