The 2017 season for the SCARTS Turbocharged Cup Series is about to come to a close. Szymek has put together a wonderful playoff campaign - and has taken over the points lead going into Homestead-Miami in hopes of capturing his first championship.
Szymek's win at Phoenix eliminates Dore from title contention and gives him a four-point lead in the points standings over Burnout, assuring him his title if he can finish 2nd or better at Homestead-Miami. If he finishes off the pace, his title will depend on how many points Burnout is able to drop of his 22 pointer but since Szymek's drop is a 15 pointer, it'd have to be a disaster to not gain back many points so it's basically a must-dominate race for Burnout like it was last year.
