SCARTS is nearing its fifth anniversary and it's almost time for our celebration race - now set for Wednesday, July 10th @ 20 GMT (4pm ET)! We will run k-Talladega, the first track SCARTS ran back in 2008 and we will be racing our first carset from way back when at the track.
DerekE is our honorary polesitter should he show, else Slick (Pilburn) will inherit the pole position as Season 1 champion. Qualifying will still be run to set pit choices and the rest of the starting lineup.
k-Talladega is a big blast from the past for SCARTS - a narrow racetrack but it put on some of our greatest races in the past. This race will be the return of the 'Dega 500' - 188 laps. This race does not count toward 2013 Full Throttle Cup Series points as it is an exhibtion to celebrate five great years of SCARTS.
I urge all of you to show up for this special occasion! I thank everyone for their support of SCARTS not only today but alltime. All of you over the years have been great drivers in what I feel is the BEST LEAGUE in Turbo Sliders! I'd love to race with some of you guys once more, like the old days!
