ENTRY LIST: Talladega [Race 10 of 24]

Laf wins a thriller at Daytona's road course, fending off Burnout and a hard charging Dore on the final lap! This is his second SCARTS Turbocharged Cup Series win and his first since Talladega in 2016.

Coincidentally, Talladega is next for our second restrictor plate race of the season. This will be our one and only stop to Talladega in 2018. Burnout won the Spring event last year in what was a small field of cars, but Szymek won the larger attended Fall race which was the springboard for his momentum to claim the 2017 SCARTS championship.

We have five winners so far this year, so should Arsen run in four of the next seven races, he will clinch his spot in the playoffs and will eliminate the 'filler position'. As of now, the filler spot is Szymek's lifeline to make the playoffs if he does not win, but he could still earn a playoff spot by finishing the regular season in the Top 3 in points. Silva is also in the hunt for making the playoffs having started five races, but he will need to win to make the cut.

As we near our 10th anniversary on July 17th, I will run this throwback paint scheme from my first season of SCARTS.  Keppana's version of Talladega was our very first track run in competition and even though we will race on our current version of Talladega, this race will ceremoniously pay homage to DerekE (our original car designer), Slick, Klutch (for endlessly helping me setup the cars and tracks), Rawr (for providing his forum for us to use), our track designers (AOD1857, Raptor, Scorpio, Lanz, Rendy), and many many more!

I could go on forever but special thanks to Scorpio, Raptor, Shyguy, Dore, Delux, Szymek - several of you guys have been pivotal in keeping SCARTS running and keeping me motivated to keep going.
