2012 SCARTS FULL THROTTLE CUP SERIES SCHEDULE



This year, Full Throttle Cup expands to 24 races - up from 20 in the past. The final eight races of the season will comprise of the 'Chase for the Full Throttle Cup' while the first 16 make up the 'Regular Season'.

Am I excluded from the Preseason Thunder event?
Also what are the track choices for the undecided Road course race?

No Simms, you are allowed @ Preseason Thunder. Track will probably be Mexico unless Burnout gets another one. But I've scheduled Mexico in Rising Star to coincide with that.

No. Preseason thunder will be the first release of the cars/final track, and then a 3 session format event, purely for fun/testing purposes.

First Session: Open Test - 50 laps

Ghost OFF
Aim: To get the best laptime, no cautions, essentially an open practice session.

Second Session: Ghost Test - 10 laps
Aim: To get the best laptime, essentially a ghost qualifying session

Third Session: 60 lap race
Aim: To win, but this is just for fun, a test race similar to the pack tests they run in NASCAR at these events..

The SCARTS Shootout will follow the same format as last year, ALL are invited, Qualifying will set the POLE for the Daytona 500 and the GRID for the SCARTS Shootout. The SCARTS Shootout will then set the grid order for the rest of the 500. Any other spots will be filled in server join order. You are banned from the Shootout Simms, but not Preseason Thunder, as thats just preseason testing.

Is the drop system going to be happening for points? If so how many races are getting dropped or what not?

I guess this is open to discussion, but almost certainly 3/4 from the regular season and 1 from the chase, I'll talk with Burnout.

Rising Star will be 4/5, again I'll talk with Burnout.

For Full Throttle, I'm planning on four drops during the regular season out of the 16 regular season races. To keep the 'balance' the same in the Chase, there will be two drops. I could lower it one drop each if you feel it's too many.


For Rising Star, five drops sound good.

We had 2 drops in the Turbocharged but that was ten races.. this is 2 races less, and being the chase for the championship, everyone should be expected to attend really. Perhaps we should put a vote on it?

Four is a good number for the regular season though, and I agree five should be fine for RS.

ok i saw you put montreal in the list! but i would suggest to test it before! it looks very good but is it creating also some good racing? im not sure about that, since it got almost the original shape! remember i created that track only for scarts and i also tried to find a good setting for the tarmac!

Wow man.. incredible track..

Burnout, I will be away May 19th-20th.. since the Coke 600 is on the week after, you will have to think about replacement pace car arrangements for that race.. I really don't think we should ever return to the days of calling your own YEL's, it can work with clever guys but not with newbies And, watching race replays from last year, even top guys have (possibly inadvertently) manipulated the system.

well no more Cup races without safety car pls! if needed in Rising Star i can jump in a few times but if shy has no time for FTC races we should postpone it!

I would step in for as a SC for an event if no one else wanted to. I clearly won't be challenging for the championship so I don't mind not competing for a race.

Don't worry, I will only race rising star races when someone else wants to drive Safety Car.. as hopefully Burnout will be this wednesday, I should be able to race Phoenix And Sam, don't worry, if you do choose to pace at Auto Club, you can just use one of your 3 drops and still contend for a chase spot..

However, I can be there for all the other FTC races

Btw, I just found out another option is to postpone the start of the race 30 minutes or so.. I might even be there for the start, but its marginal. We'll cross the bridge when we come to it I guess.
