RESULTS: Daytona 500 [Race 1 of 24]

NOTES:
- 62 lead changes, that is basically every other lap we had a new race leader!
- Jordan actually led 31 laps in the race, but one of his laps was ruled illegal due to passing Sam one lap beneath the yellow lines and edging him by 0.001 at the timing line. Funny thing: that illegal pass gave Sam the most laps led!
- Sam is our seventh winner in seven Daytona 500s in SCARTS. He joins Burnout, DOC, Shyguy, Lanz, Reirom and Delux has champions in the season opening Daytona 500 (on the original Daytona). The first two season openers were held at k-Talladega. Burnout is the only driver to win multiple season openers (2) at k-Talladega and the inaugural Daytona 500 in Season 3. Slick won the very first season opener for SCARTS at k-Talladega as well.
