The SCARTS Throwback Series kicks off on Wednesday, January 9th paying homage to our past with former racetracks and old versions of tracks we once ran - coming back for an eight race mini-series. Paint schemes from the past will also be available by request for each player to add more throwback flare. The TC2018 car setup will be the base setup for this series so additional drivers can have a car to use in the races or if no paint schemes are requested. The series is open to everyone and is a good developmental series for those looking to run more regularly in the main Turbocharged Cup Series in 2019.
Daytona will kick of the Throwback Series - the original version of the track we ran before Turbo Sliders increased the map size to 2000x2000 pixels. Delux is the most recent winner on this version of Daytona, sweeping the two events in 2014. The 2012 SCARTS Daytona 500 is the influence for how the track is going to be set up, which you can watch on Shyguy's SlidersTV channel. The racing will feature some draft effect, but will be run more like the racing from that era.
