6th-20th are 1 point differences between positions like in the old system. But now, 4th and 5th place runs now have 2 point gaps between them and 2nd and 3rd place runs have 3 point gaps. Scoring a win is worth 5 points over 2nd instead of the old 3.
Two bonus points will now be awarded for leading 10% of the race and two points for leading the most laps. This increase is due to the more points being earned in this system versus the old system so bonus points won't become virtually pointless (quite literally). The maximum points per race will become 34 by winning and leading the most laps.
This system may favor Top 5s but it also greatly favors the race winners even more so drive hard!
