ENTRY LIST: Dover [Race 1 of 10]

Welcome to the 2012-2013 SCARTS Turbocharged Series season. We just came off a thrilling championship battle between JonnO and Lanz in the 2012 SCARTS Full Throttle Cup Series in which JonnO took the title by a mere point over Lanz in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

And as we await the 2013 Full Throttle Cup, it's time for racing anyways in this years Turbocharged Series. Lanz in fact is the defending champion of this series from 2011 and will attempt to defend that honor this year.

Race #1 starts things off at Dover rather than Daytona for 250 laps of Monster Mile action. Who will take control of the points standings with a win in this race? Join us on Sunday!

Try to defend last year's victory.

I watched back the end of the race, just to document what happened exactly from my perspective.

I had to pit under green early after fighting for the lead in that long stint, but got in some traffic and pushed too hard to make that time back up so I had lost a lap by the time the pits cycled through. I was right in front of Lanz but gave him the position and was hanging out behind him, figuring a yellow would come out eventually. The yel comes out at lap 215 or so which I'm sorry I used you up there a bit Szy, that was my bad. I was first car behind Lanz 1 lap down, Tomcat was about 1.5 sec behind me, so I'm clearly lucky dog. It got confused because of the red flag and all, so whatever.

After that, we had the restart, I fucked up wrecked myself drop back to 5th, last car on lead lap. That was about lap 221.

228 - tomcat wrecks, steals my speed, doesn't wait. He's a lap down, whatever, I need a yel anyway

229 - both turns Tomcat forces me on the apron when I have position inside

231 - same thing

234 - steals speed again big time. I lose a lap the next turn because I'm pissed off and wreck myself lol

245 - I catch up to Tomcat again, he wrecks, takes me and (I think it was) Szy out. Probably should have bee na yel but I wasn't gonna call it and ruin the leaders' race

246 - wrecks again

247 - Tomcat brake checks me on the straight and then blocks me when I try to get past

248 - Tomcat turns right into the wall to wreck me and Scorpio

It didn't really change my finishing position although I lost enough time for delux and Sam to catch up, but still it was completely immature to try to ruin my race for something that was 100% nobody's fault at all. I don't care if there's a penalty or anything, I just want everyone to know exactly how big of a twat he was being to me in the last run of the race. Race me hard, but don't intentionally wreck me and brake check me for absolutely nothing.

Tomcat caused a 4 car crash, and did not wait, which caused me to go a lap down and go onto an alternative strategy. The strategy would work until the yel came out, the strategy would still work apart from the fact the red flag came out. I needed a yel after that and it never occurred. Lets hope its not so chaotic at Daytona.
