Good opportunity to mention that I'm considering some big schedule changes for the Chase races.

First of all, we will not be starting the Chase this weekend, mainly due to Lanz and JonnO missing a race or two at the start of the Chase.

Another issue is due to me entering the Chase by virtue of the wildcard, Sunday is not an optimal day for me to race six of those eight races. So my proposal is that we flip the Rising Star and Full Throttle Cup race days - Wednesday and Sunday to Sunday (RS) and Wednesday (FTC). Going along with this format, Sunday would be the first race at a racetrack in the RS cars and then on Wednesday race the Full Throttle Cup cars.

I feel attendance as a whole is quite good on Wednesday and as long as you guys can compete then, I don't see the harm in running FTC that day given I have more shots to race. The issue however is when to start. Lanz will be away around the 5th of September, so either we start the week before (Wed. August 29th) or we start two weeks after that (September 12th).

I'm not saying these dates are official, but I like the idea of flipping FTC and RS. As for racetimes, it can remain the same as they are on the days they run (4pm ET Cup races on Wed, 5pm ET RS races, or even 5:30pm since start times for NASCAR kick back an hour).

Please respond to this with your input.

I think it's important to remember there will be 2 drops in the chase, so bear that in mind before any rescheduling. However, I am fine with swapping to Wednesday, although I think we should stick to having the Rising Star race be before the Cup race.

Yes, I mentioned that. I intend running Rising Star at a track first...the only difference is that the Wednesday FTC race will 'follow' Rising Star's Sunday race. So instead of ending a week's racing on Sunday, Sunday starts the week's racing with Rising Star.

I doubt I will be able to race between the 7th-14th Sep.

I am fine with the races being run on either the Sunday or Wednesday.

Personally, I'd prefer keeping the Cup races on Sunday, since from Sept. 12 on I won't be able to run Wednesday races and I prefer running the Cup cars. But since I'm not in the Chase and have only been around for a few weeks, ignore my opinion if it's more convenient to the Chase contenders Very Happy

Sounds ok to me, if others want to do it. We should put it to a secret ballot vote, with the chasers votes counting as 2 or something.
