What a great finish, the top 5 covered by 1.520 seconds, thats quite incredible. Well done Delux for a bold strategy call, staying out on one of the cautions and managing to defend for the final two green flag runs to win. It's a shame Burnout dropped back after a minor "brainlag", turning right instead of left, otherwise he would of been right there in the fight for the win too.

To Sam/Kooler - You both did basically the same thing, which was divebombing into turn 1 with all 4 wheels off the track, causing the other guy to crash, and not waiting. Sam, this isn't only when you crashed JonnO, but you also did it to Simms. Kooler did it to Simms on the penultimate lap. Anyone who wants to say to me that this sort of stuff goes on throughout the whole race and goes unpenalized can say that, but these 2 incidents have been brought to my attention and I have dealt with them. It already takes me hours to post these results, admins can't be expected to watch everybodies race checking for incidents and accidents. If someone makes an illegal move on you, report it, otherwise it will almost certainly go unpunished.

To JonnO - You did pass Kooler illegally, so those laps lead were taken away. Obey admin instructions in future.

To Dore - Your laps lead were taken away when I asked you to give way to Simms and you didn't. I realise this was a strategy call from you to allow Simms to pull away so you could give way more cleanly, but this could of backfired for you had Simms say crashed or something. If you had let him by straight away, you could of passed him again straight away maybe and got those laps lead.

To Lexx - It was your fault you crashed into turn 1 really since you had all 4 wheels off the racetrack in Turn 1, not sure how thats anyone elses fault. Nice recovery to 4th however.

Phew. Quite an incident filled race. Sorry to Sam/Kooler but we need to be consistent penalizing these crashes, and just because its side by side contact that causes the other driver to crash doesn't make it fine, we penalized JonnO at Montreal in the RS race for a very similar thing.

At the time seemed dodgy, and by the time i processed everything for giving the position back, Kooler fell into like 4th so I was like F***! After watching it back though, seems dodgy pass, so fair decision from Lé admino! Sorry Kooler!

Ok, I have seen the incidents, Jonno showed me his and a looked for the Simms one.

Firstly: The replay is poor evidence due to the amount of car shake lag (whatever you want to call it ) in the server which caused a lot of issues.

Jonno incident: I had an issue with Jonno, his car was moving around the most so I gave him a lot of room when I was up the inside of him. However he took the apex of the corner which of course is illegal when a car is up the inside (admins I'm sure you're well aware of the basic rules of motorsport ). This coupled with the lag (causing his car to shake more the to right) meant I had to dive to the grass to try and avoid him.

Simms incident: This is pretty obvious, Simmms does the same cut to the inside as Jonno however this is so bad that he is on the grass so of course I had nowhere to go


What can we take from this: You should leave a car widths gap on the apex if a car is on the inside, an obvious racing rule.
Shy I hope you see this when you look at the incidents again

Ok, as has become the norm when a penalty is in dispute, I prepared a gif so everyone could weigh in:

Blue car tried to overtake, but he cut this corner, so in my opinion it's blue car fault.

I'd say the incident with JonnO was more deliberate than the one with Simms. Just look how fast he entered Turn 1. JonnO allowed him a little room. Sam's fault there. As for Simms, he always cut people off in the corners, including myself, so he deserved that one for a change. Not Sam's fault.

I had a good view of both of them as you can see and all I know is I started to play turn 1 conservatively when Sam was in front of me just in case a car came barreling back at me like with the Jonno incident.

I have to disagree, just because it's Simms doesn't mean you should look any less objectively at it. Does any smoke come from the car? No, so he isnt braking. He's far MORE on the grass with the Simms crash. I would say this is much more reckless, and in both crashes Sam was around the same few carlengths back from the car in front before he made the dive. Just because it is Simms shouldn't make you change your view, Simms has done penalties for his bad behaviour and shouldn't be viewed less objectively.

Also, the only reason he was faster in the JonnO incident was because he hit him later in the corner - in both incidents he didn't brake.

Sam pointed out to me he had bad lag issues in this race with car flicker, as most had, so maybe we should take that into account.

no smoke = no braking + not waiting = penalty! its that easy!

Yes like shy said I did have bad lags which really didn't help. Also there is no smoke behind my car because I don't brake for the first corner probably doesn't help lol. In future I think I need to start recording my races, if I did so in this case I could show you how I had no way of avoiding this incident due to flicker.

I actually don't care about this penalty since this race was effectively not important, hopefully we will have a better server for the next road course so it is actually possible to race.

Brake smoke or not, Simms flinched first (as in turning right) and was NOT clear enough to get to the bottom of the track. Yes Sam, you should have braked in that situation but I call this crash a racing incident which puts me on the fence. Its both drivers fault. In the JonnO one, he left you a lane at least to use the curb but you took it too fast.

If a penalty is given, it is. But I defend you some, just brake in traffic! Helps alot.
