Thoughts............
After coming back, pumped racing with burnout pilburn shy etc etc.....great racing, race day comes, get on excited, but nothing more than lag, bad racers (very bad blocking or willingness to race side by side without wrecking me) pushing me out of my pitstall, i can run anyone down, shown by last to 2nd restart, and other moments in that 60 some laps...but its unbearable to race with duel restrictions of lag and other well..to be completely honest...noob drivers, if sunday proves the same ill be gone again, never experienced that bad of driving since 1.0...

Re: Thoughts............
Man, I'm sorry about the lag but since others have told me they had none, what can I do? I never fell below 5th, but from where I was the racing was great.. just one incident between JonnO and Slick we are getting checked out..

Re: Thoughts............
saying that no one else had lag problems, is just a strait up lie, slick had the same issue as i had, expected, everyone else had lag points aswell, seeing the huge gap between where im at and where you live it happens, fault of all gaming and why in every game in the console world and PC from 2011 to now, has split servers for US EU and KR/India, if i have the same experience for FT, find a new host or im just not going to race or come back, simple thing, solve the problem if not i vote with my feet or in this case, my internet

Re: Thoughts............
Yeah what I'm saying is SOME didnt have lags so its not a blanket problem across the server.. Burnout has managed to race ok in the past and Slick was nowhere near as bad as you, without the final caution he woulda won the thing.. I'm sorry.

Re: Thoughts............
Let me just remind everyone real quick. This race was a 'rookie' race so of course there are noobs. Its your choice to race it.
There are several reasons why this wasn't as good as you may have expected.
- There was lag (I had it at times pacing the field)
- These are old cars with old pat files (They don't race or make contacts as well as the current Cup cars)
- I was administrating and pacing instead of Shyguy (which I don't do hardly at all - it did take some time for me to adjust to - so sorry up front if I didn't call yellows on certain crashes).
I think our six car test was proof enough that Full Throttle Cup cars race damn good at this track and we had a nice group of fair competitors. I made a promise on the primary TS website a couple weeks ago vowing idiot drivers being left out of Cup races. We are holding that series to a higher level of integrity. Cup is for responsible drivers, Rising Star is for development.
Don't let this ruin your first return impression of SCARTS Scorpio - view the 2012 SCARTS Shootout if you want to draw comparisons to this and Phoenix.

Aye, watch the vid..
And yeah, don't complain about noobs in the Rising Star series because.. thats precisely what it is, a series for noobs

Re: Thoughts............
i understand there being new drivers, ive just never see so much blocking...ive had nicer racing against Doc and Klutch with 3 to go xD, ill be racing the FT race, dont get me wrong, the cars race that track well, i actually like them better than the FT cars there, it doesnt showcase what i can do is such a bad situation, honestly didnt think anything else could have gone wrong, ive calmed down, had a shitty day... i loved the rookies when i raced they gave room, gave up position when lapped or when they could tell your way faster...just not the case any more, i do though expect a good race in FT, if the lag isnt resolved we will have a problem though. i think slick doesnt care much for lag he just drives through it and doesnt care, ive never played a game with so much lag so im not quite so patient with it

Re: Thoughts............
I just don't understand how it's just the distance, when you guys all raced fine the other week and in other races, I mean I have been hosting for a year now.. there's gotta be some outside factor.

Re: Thoughts............
1 bad day = 1 good day, so there is no trend, no side outweighs the other. 250 latency, .25 seconds until i get a signal of where your car and their cars are at on the track, 250 latency about right for a signal to go from your house -> provider -> Satelite -> my provider -> my house/pc that part from provider to satelite is the big part, if its cloudy its bound to be slow, if not...were fine, it depends on your and my weather -> unreliable at times. lots of factors to look at, comes back to how the game is developed and how the developer walked away from the game to develop a much stronger online, even to burnouts server its 100+ latency, on a game such a world of warcraft, i have 100 latency from michigan to california servers, but, from michigan to east coast servers its lower than 50 at points, but when you disconnect it isnt glitchy :\ lots to look at, more than we can fix, im in for sunday, but if its bad again as i stated, new host or good luck :)i dont think it will be laggy personally and hope it isn't.

Re: Thoughts............
Erm, I'm pretty sure that our internet is mainly connected via fibre optic cables in the ocean so the latency is roughly 25-50 milliseconds (this is really rough estimate) if you don't include ISP/your own connection etc.
The lag really is mainly going to depend on your own internet, ISPs, time of the day and just circumstance.
Hopefully most of the time we are ok so we don't get lagstorms creating more cautions which can be a bit unfair but often unavoidable.
