Dore became the 10th different driver to win the SCARTS REItona 500 in it's 11th running. He kicks off the season with the points lead as well after leading 39 laps in the race and for a strong 2nd place showing, behind Burnout, in the SCARTS Shootout qualifier.
Next up will be Martinsville Speedway this coming Tuesday, May 14th. Dore was the winner in the Spring race last year. However, due to this shortened season running tracks only once, the defending winner will be the driver who last won there (in exception for the REItona 500 and SCARTS World 600 as they are unique lengths). Burnout won the playoff race last year so he enters as the defending winner.
