Just to clear the air - I did intentionally wreck Laf on the final lap at Road America. Frustrations of getting caught in the field and having my race turn upside down again led to my decision to plow into the final corner. I chose NOT to lift as a way of venting my frustration (none whatsover to Dore, who has driven an incredible Chase, well done). But that takeout was not a result of wrongdoing or anything, it was just me taking my frustration out on the track unfortunately Laf being the target.
Personally I have no beef with Laf and am truly sorry to have caused that last lap fiasco. Laf is a class act in SCARTS and in no way deserved such a slap in the face there at the end. Truly sorry Laf!
And I had commented during the race how I appreciated the lap cars getting out of the way so cleanly - and then I sort of ruin that respect by crashing out Laf. You guys all have my respect and I hope my actions following RA will not tarnish our rapport that we have as a group.
Once again, sorry Laf and congrats Dore on the virtual championship!
And I know it's not a punishment by Shyguy and Dore, but I will voluntarily sit out and admin at Texas.
