Sunday concludes the SCARTS Road Course Series right where we started it at - Daytona International Speedway! Like in the season opener, racing will be contested on the Rolex infield road course.
Burnout has clinched the Road Course Series championship by outpointing Delux just enough that he can't gain back enough points on Burnout in his drop race at Daytona. The gap is 7 points, and Delux only has the potential to gain back six points by dominating the race. Should he do that though, it'll really show how close the championship battle was.
Delux dominated the first half of the season but Burnout kicked it into gear in the final half to clinch going into Daytona by a mere point.
So championship aside, come join us this Sunday to enjoy a return to oval racing (somewhat) as we close out the Road Course Series and bring in the upcoming Full Throttle Cup Series.
