    Formal Apology Empty Formal Apology

Alright, so hear it is, I want to just say it now before the rest of the races at Daytona I apologize for any of my on track actions at the conclusion of the shootout. I try to race everyone with the upmost respect which I clearly did not do. I made poor choices which impacted the racing with my two closest finishers..I didnt deserve to take the win. So this is an apology to everyone, mainly Delux for the poor block I made on him..you had the line and I should have let you take it..lets just go on with the rest of the racing this week and move on to better times this season..I hate to open up the year with a disputed result as some of you probably see it, but I accept the penalty and any more that the admins feel i should be given.

I realy can´t remember the whole situation, but as i recall it the block wasn´t so bad, because if CHarter hadn´t done it i would have probably sliden up to him in the corner. In my opinion it was just three guys racing hard for the win and i don´t blame CHarter for anything. But again there was a lot going on and i don´t remember every detail (hope to see the replay soon), so i leave the decision to admins.

Thanks for your apology Charter. Now I viewed this finish as a 'spectator' and I called it as I saw it. I realize that retaining the lead on the final lap might require a bit of defending, which I did at Auto Club (I lowlined the heck out of the finish). But when it comes to getting in somebody's way if they have a run, you just can't do that for whatever reason.

This goes for all of you. The blocking as a whole was unacceptable in the Shootout. For no reason should you be drifting into someone else's line to get a bump from them or cut off their momentum. It RUINS the quality of the race making the point of driving lines stupid if somebody can't make a pass due to the guy in front being greedy to hold position. This is NOT FULL CONTACT! If we are going to have a large rookie class this year, everyone must learn to HOLD YOUR OWN LINES or face banishment from the Cup Series. This silliness is watering down Full Throttle Cup and actions will be taken if racing isn't improved in the 500.

Im glad you feel that way Delux, really i didnt remember it happening either, but ill send you the replay so you can see it. Im not trying to defend myself, Im just making sure all of this is cleared up because i dont want this bad opinion to be cast over me or any other drivers. I like that keep any respect I have with everyone

All should be fine Charter. So you know, I will be racing so I will get to watch the shenanigans in the race and catch the blocking offenders. I think it will be a GREAT Daytona 500 if we just give each other some room to have some racing action!

We NEED to learn to hold our lines in a race without feeling the need to make contact with the car passing you to keep the lead. Use the track for how its designed.

Charters win in Rising Star was a great one, he simply held the high side at the finish and won the race cleanly and fairly. As he put it, its kinda redemption.
